Senior Process Engineer - Munich, Germany

My client is a leading international food process and packaging business who are looking to appoint a Senior Process Engineer to their team in Munich. Here, you will assist the liquid processing division by developing technical solutions that meet the needs of your customers.

What you will do:
-Complete drawings using CAD software: P&ID, layouts etc (experience in a 3D CAD environment advantageous)
-Use your industry expertise to provide liquid food solutions (dairy, beverage, prepfood etc)
-Take responsibility for technical solutions in €5-10M project
-Use strong leadership skills to support fellow colleagues
-Offer comprehensive process engineering and technical support to the design and sales phase, also in €15M+ projects
-Create engineering documents in accordance with company standards
-Use tools such as Matrix, including RD, SAP et
-Take ownership of the design specification, dimensioning and arrangement of process equipment and solutions
-Create Production Time Schedule and Mass Balance calculations
-Define line functionality, prepare technical descriptions and process functional specifications
-Use your knowledge to drive technical discussions with customers and/or suppliers
-Apply communication skills to ensure that customers are satisfied with equipment and service
-Prepare quotations according to the project objectives, budget and timeline
-Maintain a professional attitude to represent the company in front of customers


Requirements:
-Degree in Process Engineering, Food Technology, Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or similar
-7+ years experience in engineering or food technology, particularly in liquid process industries
-Extensive knowledge of food safety and food industry standards, regulations and practices
-Good spoken and written English (native German advantageous)
-Analytic mindset, able to problem solve with a strong drive for results
-Good understanding of current legislation affecting process solutions
-Contractual and commercial awareness
-You thrive in a leadership role, adopting a positive and inspiring approach to help motivate and coach your team
-Willingness to travel - approximately 20 % of the time in Europe & Central Asia region
