Business Development Manager - Hochheim, Germany
Leap29 are working with a leading international food processing and packaging business, my client has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join them in Hochheim and support them across the DACH region.
In this position you will be driving business growth within a defined territory. You will be identifying and prioritising business opportunities with new customer prospects to secure future business.

Responsibilities:
• Map pertinent food industry categories and geographies in the region and prioritise according to business potential and propose prospecting plan
• Contact prospects and develop understanding of the customer's needs and overall business
• Participate together with the Key Account Managers in the activities for existing customers
• Value Selling - Drive execution of sales targets for packaging solutions for prospects.
• Lead the sales to identified prospects in the region with support from local sales management resources
• Lead the development and presentation of packaging solutions to prospects with End to End business approach
• Provide input to Product Management (product performance gaps/ improvement needs) and business intelligence (manufacturers, competitors)
• Ensure alignment with functional counterparts (Processing, Sales, Retail Management, Marketing, Communication)
• Collaborate with the Key Account Managers to secure business development activities for existing customers

Qualifications:
• 4 years of Business Development experience
• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or Engineering or similar
• Have successful track record of generating new business
• Ability to assess and qualify opportunities along with other functions
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken. French is considered as an advantage
• Experience in food and beverages or FMCG industry is considered as an advantage
• Willingness to travel (approximately 60% of the time)
