We are thrilled to announce that Andrea Mason our HR and Talent Acquisition Manager has been named Business Person of the Year at the North East Cheshire Business Awards 2022. (www.necbawards.co.uk)
The award ceremony was on Friday the 18th of November at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire. The night was a luxury black tie event with a champagne reception, delicious 3-course meal, entertainment, and the highly awaited award ceremony.
During the night, the North East Cheshire Business Awards celebrated the achievements of outstanding businesses within the Cheshire area covering 10 main categories.
Leap29 were shortlisted for 3 of the 10 categories, including Business of the Year 2022, Best Company to Work for 2022 and Andrea Mason for Business Person of the Year 2022.
Andrea was up against 2 extremely strong nominees, but in the end due to her outstanding accomplishments over this year she triumphed and was named Business Person of the Year 2022.
During the year Andrea has truly embodied what it means to be ‘Business Person the Year’ through her extraordinary contribution to Leap29’s financial performance, people development and contribution to the local community.
During her acceptance speech, Andrea said:
“It was such an honour to be nominated, let alone win. Typically these awards often to go CEOs and owners, so to have the HR function of a business to be recognised for what we do and how we help grow a business, means the world to me.”
Since 2017, Andrea has been leading the people function at Leap29 and has played a key role in growing the business through talent management, employee engagement, development and recruitment. As a result, Leap29 has grown from a £12m turnover to £31.5m in our last financial year.
