VCU Certification for Leap29 Nederland BV

Following an 8 month implementation process Leap29 Nederland BV are now VCU certified!

The VCU is a health and safety accreditation recognized in the Netherlands and Belgium specifically for specialist recruiters involved in the Oil and Gas and Engineering sectors.

This is now a compulsory requirement in the countries when supplying contractors to VCA accredited companies, and highly advised for non-VCA customers.

In order to gain VCU Accreditation Leap29 Nederland BV implemented extensive HSE procedures throughout their recruitment process.

Lead recruiters in the Netherlands, Nick Swindells and Martin Sander, both travelled to Rotterdam to sit the VCU examination, where there knowledge of the VCU procedures, health and safety precautions in a variety of working environments and health and safety equipment were thoroughly tested.

Upon passing the exam with flying color’s Leap29 began the implementation process.

This meant for each vacancy Leap29 undertook and each contractor submitted – Leap29 ensured there was an exact match between the safety requirements of the job and the skills and experience of the contractor.

Following the placement Leap29 have a meticulous follow up process to ensure the contractor gets a full safety briefing on site.

While Nick Swindells was pleased to report there have been no incidents to date, he also added
