Over the past few years, there has been an explosion of jobs requiring technical skills and a struggle by employers to fill these roles. Fortunately, jobseekers are now showing growing interest in many tech roles. The 191% growth in search for ‘devops engineer’ is promising for the tech industry with research showing that is a role with the 2nd worse supply vs demand mismatched and ranked 3rd for employer demand.

Germany saw a massive growth in English translator jobs. The 899.9% surge was the largest Identified by Indeed. Europe is experiencing unprecedented numbers of refugees coming in from Syria, North Africa and the Middle East. Since migrants are more likely to speak English than German as a second language, this spike in interest may represent an effort to overcome the shortage of Arabic-German translators.
